HighPoint Technologies Launches Compact Gen5 NVMe RAID AICs

HighPoint Technologies

Fremont, CA: In a move set to redefine enterprise and industrial storage, HighPoint Technologies has launched the industry’s first Gen5 x16 4x M.2 NVMe AIC series with pricing starting at just $999.

The newly released Rocket 7604A RAID AIC and Rocket 1604A Switch AIC promise real-world data transfer speeds exceeding 50GB/s, delivering more than double the performance of conventional 4-port NVMe cards.

This announcement represents HighPoint’s strategic push to democratize high-speed Gen5 NVMe technology across a wider range of computing environments—including industrial, edge, and high-performance computing (HPC) applications.

Compact Power, Massive Impact

Both AICs are powered by HighPoint Technologies’ PCIe Gen5 Switching Architecture and Broadcom’s PEX89048 PCIe Switch IC, packing top-tier performance into a compact FH-HL form factor measuring just 167mm – significantly shorter than traditional Gen5 cards. Each M.2 port receives four dedicated lanes of Gen5 bandwidth, enabling unmatched throughput and responsiveness in space-restricted systems.

An integrated full-size aluminum heatsink and a quiet 80x80x10 fan offer optimal thermal management, allowing the devices to host up to 32TB of Gen5 NVMe storage without impacting system cooling.

Advanced Management and Security with the Rocket 7604A RAID AIC

The Rocket 7604A also introduces an enhanced RAID Storage Management Suite featuring:

  • 1-Click Self-Diagnostics & Logging
  • Color-coded LED indicators & audible alerts
  • Multi-interface control via WebGUI, CLI, and UEFI-HII
  • Proactive Cooling with Intelligent Fan Control
  • Environmental Monitoring for SSD temperature and power draw
  • SafeStorage Encryption using OPAL SSC TCG protocols
  • FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) and VPD data for easy servicing
HighPoint Technologies: Setting a New Benchmark for Gen5 NVMe Storage

At price points of $999 and $899, the Rocket 7604A and 1604A AICs not only deliver performance of up to 56GB/s but also redefine cost-efficiency in enterprise-grade storage.

HighPoint Technologies is setting a new benchmark for NVMe RAID solutions with bold performance in a space-efficient, thermally optimized package – tailor-made for next-gen workloads in AI, industrial automation, and data-intensive computing.
